Project Details
The Llanos de Hierro mining project represents a mining concession composed of 8 properties covering an area of over 1,600 hectares.
Between 2012 and 2014, the project was managed by a foreign company, during which an export of 21,000 metric tons of 62% Iron Ore Concentrate was achieved.
Previously, from 2010 to 2012, exhaustive exploration and evaluation work was carried out, including geophysical studies and drilling.
In 2018, following the appointment of new directors, Chiletools SPA obtained the opportunity to resume the operation of the Llanos de Hierro mining project.
During the first half of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, the development of an exploitation model based on previous experience and the knowledge provided by the new directors commenced.
Finally, in the second half of 2020, a viable exploitation model was successfully established in collaboration with the selected contractors. This model allowed for the projection of the export of 50,000 metric tons of Fine Iron Ore 62% within 30-day intervals by the second half of 2023.
